Shaping tomorrow
PassivSystems has a reputation in the industry for leading-edge robust research projects around the possibilities for smart homes in real environments. This work is important because it makes sure we keep learning and that the products and solutions we then develop reflect the best thinking.
Our clients include leading utility companies, research organisations, manufacturers and universities. Our research joins the dots between what is technically possible in homes and how human behaviour affects solutions.
In February, we were selected by the Energy Technologies Institute to lead an exciting, innovative study into future energy technologies in the home. We know that what works in a lab doesn’t necessarily work in the home. This £1.1m project will allow us to test distributed energy systems in homes, to see how they really work and how people respond to them and manage them as part of everyday life.
In April, we were awarded a grant from the South East Health Technology Alliance to test smart sensors that could revolutionise remote telecare and help people stay in their homes for longer.
From the definition of smart grid elements and scenario creation to consumer research, data analysis and impact assessment around energy consumption and assisted living, we’ve got it covered.
