  • <b>Colin Calder - CEO</b><br /><br />
    Colin has been in the computing industry
    for 30 years, 20 of which have been spent
    in the convergence of voice and data. He has
    participated in many industry forums and
    during his time as a Director of X/Open he
    advised the European Commission and UK
    Parliamentary Affairs Committee on proposed
    changes to European software legislation.
    He has provided strategic advice on wireless
    data to satellite and mobile phone operators
    and was instrumental in forming an alliance
    between Microsoft and several of the world’s
    leading wireless companies.
    In 1996 he started his own company developing
    software for the mobile phone industry. After 3
    frenetic years in which he grew the company to
    63 employees with offices in Europe and USA
    he sold the company in March 2000 to phone.
    com (now called Openwave).
    In September 2008 after 15 months of
    extensive research (and 8 years of pursuing
    personal interests which included the designing
    of his own Passiv home) Colin set up
    PassivSystems.

  • <b>Jim Crooks - Managing Director EMEA</b><br /><br /> Jim Crooks has 25 years’ senior management experience in B2B Services. He was Managing Director of ADT Fire & Security and Rentokil Initial Fire Services and held senior operational and project roles at Chubb Electronic Security. He brings to Passiv extensive experience of change management and profit improvement in multi-site service businesses delivering installation and field service solutions across a range of different environments. He is a Chartered Accountant and has a degree in Classics from Oxford University.

  • <b>Matt Clemow - Finance Director</b><br /><br />Matt qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London and has held a number of senior management roles across both SMEs and FTSE250 companies. He has a background in Consumer product & B2B Service businesses with a particular focus on growth stage companies. Before joining us, Matt managed the successful sale & integration of Christys’ & Co to Liberty Ltd, the London luxury goods brand and before that was the Divisional FD of a £120m turnover FTSE250 service business. He graduated with Honours from the University of Exeter.

  • <b>Fraser Harding - Development Director</b><br /><br />
    Fraser brings over 20 years’ commercial
    technology consulting and development
    experience to PassivSystems. Most recently
    Fraser has held executive positions at a
    number of young organisations bringing
    innovative technology solutions to market.
    Fraser was a founding member of Paragon
    Software, one of the UK’s most successful
    technology startups, and was instrumental
    in building the company to be a world leader
    in mobile synchronisation.

  • <b>Dr Mike Patterson CEnv CEng MEI - R&D Director</b><br /><br />
    R&D is at the heart of PassivSystems and as such Mike is the eyes and ears of the company when it comes to taking the learnings from our consultancy projects and the wider industry and applying them to the development of our products. He has a rich history of success in R&D, from his time at British Gas to when he was MD of Digital Living, and Mike’s role at PassivSystems is to provide evidence-based learnings in energy and technology that best harness our business and product IP.

  • <b>Ian Rose - Professional Services Director</b><br /><br />    Ian is a business development professional with over 15 years experience in the utilities sector delivering technology and service sales, bids, project management and consulting. He is currently helping PassivSystems to lead the charge in making the built environment the focus of attention for delivering energy savings and utility business transformation.

  • <b>Antonia Ebbs – Channel Sales Director</b><br /><br />  As Channel Sales Director, Antonia oversees all sales generated within the Energy Efficiency Service provider channel. Antonia has been with the organisation for the last 3 years and has been instrumental in growing many of the commercial relationships we have to date. Prior to working for Passiv Antonia has worked  for companies such as IRIS Software & Services and the NCC group where she was responsible for Business development.

  • <b>Jeff Ball - Operations Director</b><br /><br />
    Jeff has over 20 years of experience working
    at a senior level in operations and service and
    joins us from Ventura where he was head of
    the National Service Centre for Volkswagen.
    Customer care is at the heart of PassivSystems’
    business model, and Jeff’s experience is
    invaluable in helping us build a company that
    delivers a service that lives up to our ambition.

  • <b>Robert Ackland – Product Management Director</b><br /><br /> Robert Ackland has over twelve years experience in technology-lead product development in major global organisations such as Motorola and Panasonic. After graduating from Cambridge University with a Masters Degree in Engineering he started his career in management consultancy before joining a successful Silicon Valley start-up alongside Oracle co-founder Bruce Scott developing the world’s smallest and fasted database engine. Most recently Robert managed the largest-ever open-source technology project at the Symbian Foundation, funded by Nokia. Robert has a keen personal interest in both technology and energy and developed his own home energy management system before joining PassivSystems.
