Research and field trials with the Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) as well as collaboration with some of Europe’s leading installers, manufacturers and utilities have given PassivSystems unique insight into the performance of heat pumps in homes.

In March 2011 the UK government unveiled the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). Ground source heat pumps play a major role in this announcement and we think the monitoring of energy produced by this method will be vital for consumer confidence.  We are one of the only companies in the UK able to do this.

We are in business to protect the consumer. And our experience shows that heat pumps must be monitored if consumers are to get the best return from their investment and governments are to see the targeted reduction in carbon emissions and grid dependency.

We are working now on a best-in-class solution that will introduce a new breed of simple, easy to understand heat pump controls and a remote diagnostic service that will ensure that systems are working properly and maximising efficiency, as measured by achieving their COP (coefficient of performance) targets.
